What makes them tick?
Clare ChanClare is an Owner and Personal Trainer at CrossFit Cavaliers! Clare has CrossFit Level 2 Trainer certification and was a CrossFit judge at the 2013 Asia Regional CrossFit competition in Seoul, Korea and 2016 Pacific Regional competition in Sydney, Australia .
Clare previously lived the life of many young Hong Kong professionals – long working hours in the financial services industry, after work socialising and not much time for the gym. In 2012, she discovered CrossFit which proved life-changing. Clare quickly fell in love with the variety of workouts and developing her strength. Evenings in Soho were exchanged for working out with friends, learning new skills and trying to improve on previous workout times. Clare knows what it takes to make fitness gains in and out of the gym. She has a talent for setting targets for clients to achieve their goals, particularly for helping girls get their first pull-up! She often works with clients who, at first, are unable to squat or do a push up with a full range of motion. After a few sessions with Clare, the same clients achieve their goals and find motivation, strength and determination. She is mature and her experiences in her own fitness journey, is a valuable tool in relating to the people that she trains. Quote: "The pain is in the brain!" |
